This lion has to be caged every alternate day for 24 hours. He then swaps for the outside world with his father. The reason is that if they are both outside together they will try to kill each other. Only one lion is allowed per pride and the lodge does not have enough space for them to stay out of each other's way.
Before caging the two lions the father was neutered but the fights still continued. They tempt the free lion into an empty cage by putting meat there. Once the lion is inside, the caged lion is let out. It's not an ideal situation, and they are looking for another site where one of the lions can go.
Happy New Year 2010!
